Dinner is usually served at 6PM on the first night. Other meal times will vary.
Yes! While all your meals are provided, you may bring your own snacks and drinks, including alcoholic beverages. No glass bottles are permitted in the pool and hot-tub areas. There is coffee available during meals. The kitchen proper is off limits.
Water, soda, and beer is provided. Please bring anything else you like to drink, alcoholic or otherwise, which will enhance your enjoyment of the event.
We do ask you to moderate alcoholic consumption while in attendance, so as to be able to comply with the tenets of Safe, Sane, and Consensual Play.
You can fly into SFO (San Francisco International) which is 3 hour drive or SMF (Sacramento International Airport) which is a 2 1/4 hour drive going north. The drive is a nice windy road through the mountains to the camp-ground. Once you get there, there is plenty of free parking. Almost all campers park their car and never touch it until they leave camp the last day. Once you turn into the camp ground off the main road, please ensure all vehicles travel at a speed of less than 7 miles per hour. Parking is ONLY ALLOWED in the lower parking area!
Unfortunately, we cannot provide transportation to and from the camp-ground. However, you may co-ordinate ride sharing with other willing attendees through the Camp Red Tails Blog area on this website once you have registered.
Please know that mostly all campers arrive on Thursday.
Check-in begins at 2:00 PM on your arrival date.Almost all campers arrive on Thursday. If you’re assigned to a bunk room and want a lower bunk, arrive within the first few hours of check-in for the best selection.
The weather at camp is in the 90's or 100's. Don't forget to bring your own water bottle, whether it be the Camp Red Tails water bottle or your own water bottle - maybe one that fits your personality.
Please bring a reusable water bottle — there’s a convenience store at a gas station about two miles away if you forget one.Pack your own toiletries, sunscreen, a hat, and towels for both the bath and pool. Bedding, pillows, and linens are provided by Saratoga Springs.
Typical daytime temperatures at camp are in the 80s–90s°F, so shorts are common. Evenings are casual and eclectic — people wear anything from everyday clothes to themed outfits or uniforms (Boy Scout, leather, pajamas, etc.) depending on their scene.Bring a sweatshirt for cooler nights. If you plan to hike, wear hiking boots and long pants or jeans for protection — ticks and poison oak can be found in Northern California wooded areas. Please note: nudity is not permitted in kitchen areas or during meals.
Most of the time is unstructured with the exception of when Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner is served. There is an ice-cream social one of the nights and some campers play games at night.
There is always spanking going on in the Woodshed, even as late as 2AM and 3AM at night.
No photography or videos are allowed. Camp Red Tails was established as a safe space to practice our fetish and play. All campers have an expectation of privacy. Exceptions are allowed if you have permission in advance, and only in private areas.
There are plenty of paddles available for you to choose from to use during all your play, but feel free to bring your own paddles, canes, straps, belts, tawse or anything else you want to use or show off.
If you like to bring any large 'equipment' like benches or St. Andrews Cross, that would be great. Please let someone from Camp Red Tails know when signing up.
Wi‑Fi is available at camp; you can also pick up a signal from the main road. There are plenty of outlets in guest rooms, bunk rooms, and the lodge for charging phones, laptops, and other devices. Campers often share cables in bunk rooms and may swap devices to charge.
Just come to the sign-in desk and we'll take it all from there. We will help sign you in, show you around the campground, take you to your bunk or cabin, and introduce you to other campers so you feel comfortable right away.
Smoking and Vaping is only allowed in two designated areas which need to always be observed. There is a smoking area just outside of the "Woodshed" play area and the other is the gravel area just outside of the pool. For the safety of everyone, do not under any circumstances smoke (cigarettes, weed, vaping) in the cabins, bunk room or anywhere except these two designated areas.
You set off a fire alarm, you'll be paying a fine.
Usually a small group likes to hike in the early morning. The campground has short strolls as well as 2-3 hour climbs. There is also a hot soaking pool, a large swimming pool, indoor and outdoor showers, large common grounds, wild-life and a Yurt.
Attendance at the private resort is by invitation for men only. Fill out the following Registration Application for each camper and someone from Camp Red Tails will contact you within 1 to 3 days.
Once you are contacted, payment is discussed, either by Zelle bank transfer or personal check. Zelle is available with all banks and financial institutions, a link is available once you finish your Registration application.
Anyone cancelling on or before July 1, 2026 will receive a full refund, otherwise, you will not be issued or entitled to a refund.
Reservations are not guaranteed until full payment has been received. The final payment must be received before April 1, 2026 to guarantee your reservation.
